Happy New Year!! Welcome 2006!

My secondary school friends asked me out to join them in their last day of 2005 outing and since my other friends are still deciding their activities, I had went to join them..

We went to walk around in Bugis and then went to the opposite to find a steamboat restaurant because the foodcourt is full and the fastfood are unhealthy and we found a cheap one just right opposite of Shaw Tower (I brought them there because its cheap; $12 per head only! and there’s no barbecue-ing require, purely soup and steamed food!)

Then we went to Marina Square to wait for Sze Yuen’s friend and meanwhile we played at the arcade until 11.30pm when his friend came and we walked to the 7-11 which was totally flooded with people!! (damn, we wanted to get a beer!) Mood spoilt; we walked over to Esplanade to get ready for the countdown..

The situation there is definitely not as chaotic as the one compared to Orchard (during christmas), its much more controlled.. I guess there are more civilised people in that area =).. with alot of lighting effects to the countdown of 2006, we were amazed and they tried to ask me go out so that we can avoid being foam-sprayed but I persist in staying and as we countdown, every single second was so important.. As the countdown goes, the fireworks went off for 10mins and I kept taking picture with my phone risking it (there were already people spraying foams)!!

Right after the fireworks ended, everyone went off amazingly fast.. and some idiots were spraying foams onto other people’s car (I guess they didn’t want to waste it).. poor car owners =/

Then we went back to the entertainment center to get the pool table and thanks to our "kiasu-ness", we were the first group to go back there and we got the tables =)..

We became clueless about the places to go after the game, then we decided to go to Geylang because there are alot of hawkers that are 24hours there and I could meet Xiaoye they all as well..

Then I met them and went to Cabana Beach for a drink and we played the number guessing game which has a forfeit of eating chilli/tomato sauce and I was squirted the chilli sauce twice into my mouth; the feeling of the sause in my mouth without any food sucks to the core!

And we went to Xiaoye’s house after that to indulge ourselves in his Raspberry Vodka with Sprite Ice and played mahjong..

steamboat! lotsa eggs! look at the mushrooms~~

Clubbing at Ministry of Sound (MOS)

I admit, I went to clubbing last night with Adeline, Xiaoye,Binglin, Bert and Sheldon.. it was my bad, I psychoed them. Wereached there 9pm and there was already a very long queue to theentrance.. if you’re going there please be there early..

It is a very nice place; what else can I say? Different genresof music that caters to different people under 1 roof with 2 levels; moreover if youhappen to get sick of a certain genre, you can move around to othergenres which is definitely worth you paying that entrance fee!

Perhapsyou would want to ask me about the different genres they have.. inbinglin and my laymen terms, there are 3 main genres: Giao Taw, Ah Chekand Gina.

Giao Taw is actually the r&b sectionwhereby theres a cage surronding the dance floor.. the floor is toosmall and crampy and alot of teenagers like r&b, the whole room istoo small too! Its the room whereby people have to enter/exit theMOS you know! The first room and last room whereby everyone must go through, how can the room be so small! And the songs there wasn’t up to my expection, its not a full-time r&b section.. with alot of hiphops which doesn’t suit me, but its still according to one’s preferences..

Then the Ah Chekis actually the area whereby they play 70-80s type of music and youwould probably see a few old-school dancers with theirtwist-dash-across-their-eyes and stuffs like that.. quite alot of late20s men and women in their office-like clothes, and this explains thename I given them..

The Gina.. its actuallyeuropean techno/trance music.. this kinda music is the most easy todance actually; just do hilarious hands and legs movement and you’lloutshine everyone. Actually I wanna define it as the noob section :x..Anyway we stayed in here all the time because the dance floor wereeither very packed with very nice music of our type initially (think about the songs by Eminem or Beyonce).. then when we got very high, it became oldie-techno which becomes boring to us..

And ofcourse, the DJs there were great =).. they shown great knowledge in their job and they know how to control the songs accordingly to the audience..

Eminem: When I’m gone

This is another great song by Eminem (Marshall Mathers).. All of my friends agreed with me =).. and you should watch the MTV because through it, you will find the song meaningful..

It’s my life…
My own words I guess…

[Verse 1]
Have you ever loved someone so much, you’d give an arm for?
Not the expression, no, literally give an arm for?
When they know they’re your heart
And you know you were their armour
And you will destroy anyone who would try to harm ’em
But what happens when karma, turns right around and bites you?
And everything you stand for, turns on you to spite you?
What happens when you become the main source of a pain?
"Daddy look what I made", Dad’s gotta go catch a plane
"Daddy where’s Mommy? I can’t find Mommy where is she?"
I don’t know go play Hailie, baby, your Daddy’s busy
Daddy’s writing a song, this song ain’t gonna write itself
I’ll give you one underdog then you gotta swing by yourself
Then turn right around on that song and tell her you love her
And put hands on her mother, who’s a spitting image of her
That’s Slim Shady, yeah baby, Slim Shady’s crazy
Shady made me, but tonight Shady’s rocka-by-baby…

And when I’m gone, just carry on, don’t mourn
Rejoice every time you hear the sound of my voice
Just know that I’m looking down on you smiling
And I didn’t feel a thing, So baby don’t feel my pain
Just smile back
And when I’m gone, just carry on, don’t mourn
Rejoice every time you hear the sound of my voice
Just know that I’m looking down on you smiling
And I didn’t feel a thing, So baby don’t feel my pain
Just smile back…

[Verse 2]
I keep having this dream, I’m pushin’ Hailie on the swing
She keeps screaming, she don’t want me to sing
"You’re making Mommy cry, why? Why is Mommy crying?"
Baby, Daddy ain’t leaving no more, "Daddy you’re lying
"You always say that, you always say this is the last time
"But you ain’t leaving no more, Daddy you’re mine"
She’s piling boxes in front of the door trying to block it
"Daddy please, Daddy don’t leave, Daddy – no stop it!"
Goes in her pocket, pulls out a tiny necklace locket
It’s got a picture, "this’ll keep you safe Daddy, take it withcha’"
I look up, it’s just me standing in the mirror
These fuckin’ walls must be talking, cuz man I can hear ’em
They’re saying "You’ve got one more chance to do right" – and it’s tonight
Now go out there and show that you love ’em before it’s too late
And just as I go to walk out of my bedroom door
It’s turns to a stage, they’re gone, and this spotlight is on
And I’m singing…

And when I’m gone, just carry on, don’t mourn
Rejoice every time you hear the sound of my voice
Just know that I’m looking down on you smiling
And I didn’t feel a thing, So baby don’t feel my pain
Just smile back
And when I’m gone, just carry on, don’t mourn
Rejoice every time you hear the sound of my voice
Just know that I’m looking down on you smiling
And I didn’t feel a thing, So baby don’t feel my pain
Just smile back…

[Verse 3]
Sixty thousand people, all jumping out their seat
The curtain closes, they’re throwing roses at my feet
I take a bow and thank you all for coming out
They’re screaming so loud, I take one last look at the crowd
I glance down, I don’t believe what I’m seeing
"Daddy it’s me, help Mommy, her wrists are bleeding,"
But baby we’re in Sweden, how did you get to Sweden?
"I followed you Daddy, you told me that you weren’t leavin’
"You lied to me Dad, and now you make Mommy sad
"And I bought you this coin, it says ‘Number One Dad’
"That’s all I wanted, I just want to give you this coin
"I get the point – fine, me and Mommy are going"
But baby wait, "it’s too late Dad, you made the choice
"Now go out there and show ’em that you love ’em more than us"
That’s what they want, they want you Marshall, they keep.. screamin’ your name
It’s no wonder you can’t go to sleep, just take another pill
Yeah, I bet you you will. You rap about it, yeah, word, k-keep it real
I hear applause, all this time I couldn’t see
How could it be, that the curtain is closing on me
I turn around, find a gun on the ground, cock it
Put it to my brain and scream "die Shady" and pop it
The sky darkens, my life flashes, the plane that I was supposed to be on crashes and burns to ashes
That’s when I wake up, alarm clock’s ringin’, there’s birds singin’
It’s Spring and Hailie’s outside swinging, I walk right up to Kim and kiss her
Tell her I miss her, Hailie just smiles and winks at her little sister
Almost as if to say..

[Curtains closing and sounds of footsteps]

Bored in christmas..

This is the last thing I would wish to have happened on this Christmas and it did. I found myself waking up in the late afternoon, practically there’s no one else I can meet and I can only stay home and talk cock in the IRC with my friends (if they’re online).. and it happened that only Xiaoye and me are available and he’s got damn bored to stay at home too, so I decided to meet him up for dinner or something..

And then I drove my dad’s van to pick him up, went to changi for Nasi Lemak and ofcourse, to see the versatiles.. they look great; white and innocent, beautiful with long hair.. if you don’t wanna spoil your mood, please don’t talk to them; to prevent yourself from being freaked out!

Merry Christmas Fellas!

I had a very wild and tired night, although now I should beresting on my bed and rest, I think I should just blog somestuffs down before I can get to close my eyes and enjoy my sleep..

Yesterdayafternoon metup with the i.Alumni friends and we went to Suntec to shopfor some stuffs.. The girls were finding some things which cannot befound in Orchard so they went to Suntec hoping that they could findsomething to give away as a Christmas present to their friends..

Iwent to Carrefour again with the hope that I could buy a mp3 player formy sis as her birthday present and I saw it. I asked the salesmanfor the player and he looked for it and tell me its the last set.. Thistime I checked it before I leave the counter and thank god it isworking perfectly fine =)..

Then we went to Marina Square becausethey couldn’t find the things they want in Suntec and they spent quitesome time browsing around the shops.. Ivan, Jeremy, Weian, Xin Xian andMe had to leave them early because we have to meet other people, so wewent to the MRT station together but during the way out, we took a fewpics just right outside the shopping mall facing Esplanade; splendidshots.

And I went to meet my secondary school friends afterthat.. the MRT station was flooded with people and it was a verychaotic situation.. With my swift movement, I managed to squeeseand move in-between crowds and found them in 15mins time.

Andthey are such funny people; they sat inside Yashinoya in Cineleisurewaiting for 12am -_-! It would be so much more fun outside there beingspraying by foams! I must admit they aren’t as high and theymight be the last group of friends I would choose to be with nexttime.. at least i.Alumni members would join in the fun if they werethere =/

Just right after the countdown, we wished each othermerry christmas and was about to leave the mall, suddenly we saw Andy’soutside group of friends (Mango and gang).. its hilarious! HE GOTGANG-FOAMED!! LOL!! And I wasn’t suppose to be hit by it butsomehow the situation turned and alot of them were spraying at me thenext turn.. Then I snatched the spraying cans from them and sprayedthem back.. HAHAHA…

With all that fun in that 15mins, the canswere almost used up and I left them early because I wanted to go to MOS(Ministry of Sound).. then the queue there was very very long althoughthe building looks very promising.. With the hype I had anddetermination to club, I finally got to Club MOMO!! A fun place, whatcan I say? I was so high that I decided to take over the danceplatform and dance ofcourse.. and then there was this girl behind medancing who suddenly tripped and fell… If I didn’t rememberwrongly, I think she was wearing heels and she lost her balance orwhat.. I could feel her heels strike at me the moment she fell, Idon’t know if I had tripped her or what.. absolutely no idea but shehad a very bad fall because I saw her face landing right on the floor..but there are alot of guys who helped her up and I hope she’s okay..

If you happened to know this person, please let me know so that I can free my conscience!

8hours of kBOX and still not enough..

The longest bus ride I have last taken, the NR7 routed from Esplanade to orchard and around the HDB town area.. its boring but at least I managed to take a nap, a temporary sensation of my eyes closed..

Had a very fun night at kBOX in Marina Square.. Initially when we reached there at 7pm the place was fully taken and we were ofcourse upset because If we were to slack elsewhere it might be boring, or maybe we should just go and try our luck at the kBOX in Suntec.. at about 8pm when we were already reaching Suntec’s foodcourt, kBOX @ Marina suddenly gave Pat a call and said there’s a room available!! I guess its pure luck that our group had =)

We went back there again with our going-to-break legs and hungrified stomach and seeing the buffet there really appetitise us alot because there are alot of SALMONS, raw SALMONS. NICE. But this buffet did cost us some money (Each $16 after GST?) and then, the total amount spent for this KTV is around $40 per head but its worth it I guess.

A pity we couldn’t sing further more because the kBOX is stopping their business, and it looks like we are the last few groups to leave the place as well.. Even though we had 8hours of KTV, we still have a few pages of songs to sing but due to the insufficient time, we just have to leave. If only we had the room at 7pm, we would have probably finished those songs!! LOL..

Its ok, we had a very fun night.. Thanks guys!

A great seafood dinner and the napfa test

I’ve just came back home from Ashley’s house. We (about 14 people) celebrated Sze Yuens birthday last night at a coffeeshop in Pasir Ris and indulged ourselves in 6 chilli and black pepper crabs with some other dishes which later cost a bomb of $277 but we enjoyed it =)..

Then we went to Ashley’s house for a drinking-cum-cut-cake session whereby Sze Yuen got so high he ended up being drunk himself and speaking nonsense on the bed.. his wobbly legs couldn’t bring his body up and ended that 4 person have to carry him every now and then just to go to the toilet to pee..

I was alittle unconscious too, but I am still steady and I rested on the bed and had a hangover today which irritates me as I couldn’t study for my exams tomorrow and I had my Napfa test today, so I thought I would probably fail, but I ended up passing it with a Gold (hopefully)..

Everytime when I was outside the gym trying to practise for my standing broad jump, I always fail to reach more than 210cm and today, I managed to hit 230cm! I thought I was just lucky, but my other stations proved me that I AM PHYSICALLY FIT:

Shuttle Run: 9.4s
Pullups: 7 (just nice for a 3 point grade)
Situps: 43
2.4km: 10.50 (around this timing I guess)

The 2.4km really used up alot of my energy… Alot of times along the way I feel like walking and give up but I kept on telling myself its not very far and that special one might be there waiting for me, I should keep on running if not I would miss her again and finally, I reached the finishing point with the position of 20th.

After that, Binglin Pat Bert Tox and I went to bedok mac and I made a nuisance of that poor McDonald who was drenched in the rain:

Tangs Voucher, babes.

It seems like I haven’t been able to appreciate beautiful girls until yesterday, when I went to Orchard Road to collect my $30 Tangs voucher from SMC (I won it in a fastest-router-configuration contest) and I went to Wheelock place after that to go to Borders to see some computer books, and it really surprises me because I suddenly have no interests in those books anymore.. It seems that its all in the past… and ofcourse, I was astonished by the number of beautiful girls in the bookstore with me as well.. Did I missed them in the past? And so I stayed in the bookstore alittle longer just browsing around and seeing the beauties before I went to the Apple store to see the accessories available for my iPOD nano.. the things there are fucking expensive!

Then, I went to Tangs happily with my $30 voucher hoping that I could get something nice out of it, probably a formal shirt so that I can use it for my presentation next year January, and the prices of those shirt are out of my budget even with the use of my voucher.. damn..

Today, went with Xiaoye Bert Sheldon Pat Binglin to orchard again, but this time we went Far East Plaza to walk around and see beauties (My suggestion) LOL.. and we walked till Cineleisure, where me Bert and Sheldon bought a Surgical ring.. looks cool..

Birthday Surprises?

Birthday surprises.. It was Yanyan’s and Irene’s birthday yesterday and their friends celebrated for them =) Yanyan’s celebration is the most exorbitant because her friends did really put in effort by informing the lecturer in the lesson about Yanyan’s birthday and then they went to i.HUB room to retrieve the cake in the fridge and brought it down to the lecture theatre. And best of all, the whole lecture theatre sang birthday song for her.. though she felt uneasy, I am sure she will always remember this birthday celebration in our school..

As for Irene’s birthday, we did it at the i.HUB room.. with the right people and it maybe small group but its something really good about because at least she get to celebrate on her birthday with us!!

Seeing their celebration ofcourse hits me back again, reflecting my previous celebrations(even this year), I only celebrated with someone and the impact is not like I would never forget, it has never been so special I guess.. A dinner, A gift.. that’s all I would say.. actually I would prefer surprises rather than a plain dinner and gift.. because it seems like that person didn’t put in effort to know about me and my needs.. Now that I see all these, I feel that friends can actually do this better job than anyone else..

I am so envious of their celebration, they’ve got surprises and good friends to plan their celebration! Is this the advantage of being single as well?
