So, if you want to know me better; My name is Eric Lim. I have another long name in chinese but I’ll keep it private for now. Oh come on, you don’t really need to know, just call me by Eric or phusion will do =)
where are you
I’m residing in the little red dot in Asia, the smallest but yet independent and powerful country. Its not the size that matters really, its about connections. Yes, its in alliance with alot of countries and its Singapore.
what are you up to
As for my status now, I was born 1985, that makes me 24 this year and I’m attached. Oh no, that’s not really important. I’m currently persuing my hons(B.Sc), Computer Science in Nanyang Technological University (NTU). The highest education I had before this was a Diploma in Info-Communications from Temasek Poly. If you’re wondering which secondary school I was from, it’s Greenview Secondary School. Its just a neighbourhood school anyway, but I’m really surprised how I got this far.
I stay in my school hostel during weekdays, and goes back home (Tampines) on weekends.
you are boring
My favourite past time includes photography which I picked up in April 2008. I bought a Canon EOS 400D with 18-55mm kit lens, then bought another tamron 70-300mm f4.5-f6.3 lens, a 50mm f1.8 and then, a 18-200mm f3.5-f6.3 which is always on my camera body now. Its a solid walkaround lens. No more changing of lens; its static but I’m lazy and kind of used to it already. I also bought a light tent for experimental purposes on products and still life and a Sigma EF500 DG Super flash for my hotshoe flash.
I’m feel alittle sick of photography now as my creative eyes are failing on me because I’m so used to taking sports photography due to my school events during the holidays, but I will persist because this is a lifetime hobby as it can apply to anyone at any age.
I play with photoshop. That’s what every photographers does? There’s many other softwares I use for photo manipulations; mainly to adjust colors, contrast and size. Its to enhance the photo, not to repair; I’ve got the skills.
Sometimes I play alittle bit with webdesign too. But that’s not my core, I prefer networking and system administration. I love to troubleshoot and setup servers, namely Linux, Unix and Windows. Alright, I’m nerdy geeky, and that explains why I’m studing Computer Science.
I have 3 guitars at home, 2 Acoustics (Congress) and 1 electric (silvertone) and a multi effects pedal. I want to build up a kickboard but I do not have the moolah unless I sell my camera away which is impossible. I’m not well versed in music and I’ve been learning and practising since 3years ago and Hey, at least I’m trying! Despite that, I want to try my hands on electric keyboard!
get a life
That’s my life. Attending lectures on weekdays, having fun on weekends with my friends and girlfriend.. And if I had the chance, I would probably want to:
- Go Japan/Taiwan
- Go Malaysia eat seafood
- Increases sales for rocketsinc
- Do more webdesigns
- Slim down more!
- Tryout lomography
- Learn electric keyboard
